Terms of Service
Effective: 10 June 2026 · Provider: Malggu, [Your registered business address — update in Framer] · Contact: support@malggu.com
These Terms govern your use of Malggu websites and digital learning products (malggu.com, market.malggu.com, wordbook.malggu.com). By creating an account, redeeming a key, or purchasing, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. What we sell & provide
Digital Korean learning products and related Services, including:
- PDF/wordbook content and audio sold via Polar (with redeem keys by email)
- GIF wordbook, quizzes, and progress tracking on wordbook.malggu.com
- Magic Motion / grammar spell games using optional camera-based motion detection
- Korea Simulation — map-based language practice, landmarks, and partner venue features (some sponsored — labelled in-app)
Each product page describes what is included. Access is licensed to you — not sold as physical goods.
2. Account & age
You must provide accurate email information and keep your password secure. One account per person unless we approve otherwise.
You must meet the minimum age confirmed at signup: 16+ (or your country's minimum for online services — e.g. 13 in some US/EU contexts with parental rules, 14 in Korea with guardian consent for under-14s). We may close accounts that violate age requirements.[KR-22-2][EU-8][US-COPPA]
3. Purchases, payment & redeem
Checkout is processed by Polar (polar.sh), our payment and license partner. Prices are shown before payment. Taxes may apply. After payment, a license/redeem key is sent to your email. Redeem at market.malggu.com/redeem using the same email as checkout to unlock digital entitlements on your account.
By redeeming or downloading digital content, you acknowledge that delivery of the digital product may begin immediately, which can affect withdrawal rights where applicable (see Section 5).[KR-EC][EU-DIG]
4. License & use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use purchased content and linked games for your own learning. You may not resell, redistribute, scrape, or publicly share files except where a product explicitly allows it.
5. Refunds & withdrawal
EU/UK consumers: where law gives a 14-day withdrawal right for digital content, you may lose that right once download, streaming, or account activation begins if you gave prior express consent and acknowledged the loss of the right.[EU-DIG]
Korea: for digital content, withdrawal may be restricted once provision has begun, provided we clearly disclosed this and you consented (Electronic Commerce Act).[KR-EC]
If content is defective or not as described, contact support@malggu.com within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are handled per Polar policy and mandatory consumer law in your country. Optional marketing gifts (e.g. free starter PDF) do not affect statutory rights on paid products.
6. Marketing gifts
Optional marketing consent may include a free digital gift (e.g. starter PDF). This is not required to use Malggu or buy products. Refusing marketing does not block signup or purchase.[KR-22-5][EU-7]
7. Acceptable use
No abuse, hacking, automated scraping, harassment in simulation chat, or infringement of others' rights. Do not misrepresent sponsored venues as official government or travel guidance. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or law.
8. Interactive games (Magic Motion & Simulation)
Magic Motion / camera games: camera access is requested only when you enter a camera-enabled game, with a separate consent step. Video is processed on your device; we do not store raw video by default. You may use non-camera alternatives where offered. See Privacy Policy §11.[KR-ICT]
Korea Simulation: maps, dialogues, and venue listings are for language learning and entertainment. Sponsored or partner locations are labelled. They are not immigration, employment, or safety advice. Real business offers are subject to the partner's terms.[KR-AD]
No professional advice: Malggu does not guarantee exam results, fluency timelines, or real-world outcomes. Games supplement — do not replace — formal instruction where required.
9. Availability & changes
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update content, features, or these Terms. Material changes will be posted on the site. Consent-based features (marketing, analytics, camera) require separate consent under the Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or rights that cannot be limited under consumer law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction except where consumer law requires otherwise. EU/UK/Korean consumers keep mandatory protections in their country of residence.
